Debate Journal: 7/16
General requirements are 3 pg's, refer to/address/critique the documentary, use 1 additional outside source, and a thesis (this is argumentative). More information to be found on Moodle, and in the attached outline. Please also double space and correctly embed quotations. I do want a few quotations (let's say at least two).

Annotated Bibliography: 7/23
you will still need to find a topic, do research (pay attention to the research lessons in Moodle), and write the annotated bibliography. In addition to this, I want to see an opening paragraph introducing me to the annotated bibliography. Tell me why you chose the topic, what is at stake in the discussion, and what is your stance. I want to see a thesis at the end of the first paragraph. The thesis should be an argumentative statement. It should not be a question. It should not be a statement of facts. It should be an argument. Tell me what YOU think given the research you've done. Then, I want you to annotate your research (please look at the Annotated Bib example in the Assignment Information section; it should look like that). This will include your citation (MLA) and your paragraph discussing the research. BTW, there is a good trick for retrieving the correct bibliographic citations for your work in the Research Lessons, so be sure to check that out. Then, I want you to conclude the annotated bibliography in your own words. Restate your thesis (Do not copy the original thesis, RESTATE it), tell us why this matters, and what the research says about it. Finally, point to reasons why we should keep discussing this topic. What should other research be done on it?
