He also has a M.S. in Computer Engineering, Institute of ComputingTechnology, and Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, 1991, and a B.S. inComputer Science atUniversity of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China,1988.Yi has extensive research experience on nonlinear and combinatorial optimization,artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, wireless sensor networks, distributed and mobilecomputing,. He has published over 140 refereed journal and conference papers, andhas been awarded 6 US patents. Many of his works are well received. For example, hepioneered the multidimensional scaling based approach for ad hoc network localizationand one of his papers has been cited over 600 times. He has served on program and/or organizing committees of over 40 international conferences. His research projects havebeen funded by federal and industrial grants and contracts from US Army, Microsoft,
Raytheon, and University of Missouri Research Board. These give him the credentialsto write this journal and his sources can be trusted.
