“And here we have it folks! The semi-finals are about to begin! Whatever team wins this one gets to compete in the finals!” There was a loud cheer coming from the crowd that surrounded them.

“Team 1 vs Team 32.... START!” The announcer yelled with overwhelming excitement in his voice as two walls on the opposite sides of the arena started to open up.

Agate felt a bit worried, he was going against Kazu and some of his lackey’s and had no idea what to expect. Aura must’ve sense him being so worried and place a reassuring hand on his shoulder. As the walls lifted up completely and the arena light filled the small dark room the three were in, Agate quickly gained some adrenaline and ran out of the room, using his affinity to boost him out by having the wind push and carry him.

Agate could visualize the enemy team, Kazu stood in the middle while his two partners spaced themselves out from him. ‘Don’t want them to get close, huh?’ Agate thought to himself as he pushed himself towards the left. ‘Fine then, I didn’t need to punch you twice in a month.’ Agate started to make his way toward Kazu’s lackey, he focused his eyes on the lackey’s eyes for a second. ‘They have an earth affinity. Got it.’

Agate boosted himself towards the earth user, readying his fist as he felt air surround it. ‘I won’t lose this fight. I can’t lose this fight!’

Aura had also rushed himself out of the room, choosing to run out behind Agate as closely as possible. “Alright, where to go, where to go...” he thought to himself. Aura wasn’t the best at strategy, he left that to the other two. But something he knew about this fight is that it meant a lot to his own pride. He needed to win this fight. Kazu wouldn’t have the satisfaction of beating him again, no. Not in front of all these people.

He held his fist against his chest as he slowed his running down. “Think... just...think...”

Suddenly, a fireball blasted itself on the ground next to him, causing him to get thrown off a ways away from where he was originally standing.

As Aura stood up he growled and felt a bit ticked off as he looked forward, seeing Kazu with a ball of flame in his hand. Tossing it up and then catching it like a bouncey ball.

“Screw strategy, I’m gonna mesh your face with the ground!”
