"Yeah, yeah, alright," you sigh, yanking up your jeans. You comb your drying hair, and said through the phone, "I'll be there in a few, alright?"
"We're gonna be late to the party, (Y/N)! Don't you wanna see Jake?" she asked. You could hear the taunts in the slow way she spoke.
"Shut up and let me finish getting ready," you grumbled, and hung up before she could say anything more. Pulling on a leather jacket over your plain black t-shirt, you hurried downstairs and slipped on some heels, then went to your car, starting the engine. Your phone suddenly buzzed, notifying that you got a text, so you pulled it out.
Jake just called, how long til u get here? Lillian asked. You could almost hear her impatience.
A minute, in my car, you reply, and start the engine. You drive to Lillian's house, and see her waiting outside her door. She got in, and you drove to the house party.
"Why are we doing this again?" you sighed, turning the corner.
"Because Ashley invited us, you idiot." She punched you lightly on the shoulder jokingly.
"Me, not you. She hates me," you reminded her, stopping abruptly at a red light, giving yourself time to glance at your friend, who was annoying you at the moment.
"Maybe she just had a change of heart. You are very likeable," she sighed, crossing her arms. 21
"Change of heart? Can you even hear yourself right now?" you huffed, glaring back. After three years of Ashley's bullying and getting other people to hate you, you didn't really trust her. The light turned green, and your foot released the brake pedal. The car was silent after that, an awkward silence that no one was comfortable breaking.
You finally got to Ashley's house, and you gaped at the sight of it. You knew she was rich, but you didn't realize she had a mansion. Multiple expensive cars were parked along the driveway, booming speakers could be heard, and the decorations were massive. +
"Let's have some fun!" Lillian whooped, grabbing your arm and dragging you inside. 19
This was gonna be a long night.
