#2 A vampire warlord attempts to seize control of the world by blocking out the sun and plunging the world into an eternal night.
#3 The final area of a dungeon, the adventurer's awaken an ancient lich who rises to once again threaten the world.
#4 Open with a very standard "we must kill the monster" hook, and fill his palace with obvious traps. Then, when they arrive in the monster's throne room, the Ogre King is sitting immediately under a chandelier, asleep. The chandelier's rope is tied to a cleat 5ft from the door. When the rope is uncut or untied, it swings down to vertical, the chandelier staying up. The floor opens up under the party. They are at the end of a very, very long straight corridor. Running down the center of the corridor is a train track. An illusory image of the monster appears before the party, taunting them for the adventurer mentality, calling you predictable and foolish. He brags, "You are trapped in a dungeon. And I am the Master of the Dungeon!"
#5 A "kidnapped" noble's daughter in actuality ran off to join a cult whose charismatic leader (with no supernatural powers whatsoever) espouses an appealing but baseless crackpot theory of divinity/magic.
#6 The characters stumble on an abandoned, unique, semi-functional airship; it needs extensive repair (requiring exotic materials and rare expertise), and a couple non-good factions claim rightful ownership of the vessel.
