You are doing a marvelous job in every way on the guitar Robert. Some reminders from today's lesson:
Please remember that music reading for the guitar involves all the notations you see, i.e., notes, rhythms, fingerings, dynamics, expressive markings, tempo markings and any other notations made by the composer and or the arranger. Rhythm is the trickiest of all reading demands, especially on the guitar. A good way to work on this is to separate out ideas. For example: play the bass line by itself, the melody by itself and even the inner voices by themselves. You will understand the piece much better and your technique and rhythmic awareness will all improve. Then put them all back together. I will send you the Gran Solo, Op. 14 today. Please skip the introduction, we'll come back to that, and begin with the faster part of the piece. You'll have to tune string 6 down to D for this piece.
