The Vampire's Scheme [6-7]
Stones thudding away as they roll downhill, rustling of unknown origin and the sibilant whisper of the wind in the environs of the Bats' Den create a lugubrious mortifying atmosphere, and all wild animals flee this glum cacophony. This place is given a very wide berth by any living thing. This is the abode of Golats the Vampire, right among these mossy stones and abandoned caves; his obnoxiousness is so great that none can stand it, including himself. This antisocial fiend will stop at nothing to cause as much evil to the Magmars as he can, calling horrendous plagues and disasters upon their heads and determined to eliminate them once and for all. This time the loathsome changeling sorcerer seeks to destroy the people of Khair with the assistance of the Bats, his neighbours for many a year. The Vampire has found a method of controlling the souls of the dead bats, and, obviously, decided to use it against the Magmars. Enormous hosts of Ghostly Bats [6] hurry to do Golats’ bidding and flutter off to their gruesome hunt, seeking out lone victims to suck them dry of blood. Any unfortunate who gets in the way of the airborne killers will become the Vampire’s prey... Only the warriors who manage to rein in the fear induced by Golats as well as handle the sharp-toothed undead bloodsuckers will be able to help out those who live in the vicinity of the Bats’ Den. But a true warrior will lack no valor or zeal required for vanquishing the loathsome host of flying horrors sent by the Vampire! Head towards the Bats’ Den and deal with the winged ghosts. The event takes place at the Bats’ Den. Participation in this event will increase your influence in the Caves of Fear.
