Aplikasi Mantra Protego
Sebenarnya Protego bukan mentah mengurangi damage lawan, melainkan memberikan shield atau perisai untuk kita, jadi damage yang mengenai kita bisa diminimalisir. Berikut adalah contoh simulasi protego.

>> status awal adalah 60/60
X : 60/60 Protego 60/50
Y : 60/62 Engorgio 60/57
X : 60/50 Incendio 60/20 (-40hp)
Y : 20/57 Alarte Ascendare 12/51 (-40hp)
X : 27/22
Jika tidak ada protego, damage yang diterima X harusnya 40, tetapi karena ada shield jadi berkurang 7, sehingga HP X yang seharusnya 20 menjadi 27. Efek protego hanya bisa distack 3 turn, entah musuh menyerang atau tidak, tetap hitungannya 3 turn. Jadi semisal:
X : protego
Y : engorgio
X : (disini protego tetap dihitung satu turn walaupun si X tidak mendapat damage dari Y)
Ada lagi yang lebih menguntungkan yaitu protego totalum. Kenapa? Selain Shield yang didapat lebih besar (20hp), efeknya juga bisa mencakup semua anggota tim. Ini sangat efektif untuk duel tag team atau explorasi. Penggunaannya sama seperti protego biasa.
