Crisis in a relationship
Most often, we get after a year, then after three and seven years. Crisis in a relationship - who has not passed him? Quarrels interspersed with "quiet days", mutual reproaches, grievances, emotional coldness, a drop in interest in sex and thoughts swirling in the head - "is it worth continuing"? Where does the cyclical nature of the crisis come from? Does one, three and seven bear the marks of an "unlucky thirteen"?

It is known for a long time that love alone will not last forever if it does not take care of it. It will slow down slowly, cool down and get rid of it. When the "fall in love" phase subsides, boredom, routine, burnout and the desire to experience life with someone else will creep in.

Crisis of the first year
According to psychologists, the first crisis is caught by a couple after a year, or two years of living together. What is to blame is oxytocin - a hormone that has a psychoactive, stimulating and empathogenic effect. In the fall in love, the level of this hormone in the body is very high. It's like after eating chocolate - we feel joy, energy, willingness to act. We love and empathically intensely. After one year of living together, the level of this hormone falls (the chocolate overeats, does not enjoy it as it was at the beginning). Then a phenomenon occurs which is commonly referred to as "rundown" - means "slippers fall from our eyes". The partner's disadvantages begin to be recognized, and the habits that previously escaped our attention start to work exceptionally on the nerves. Partners cease to take care of themselves, they lack romanticism and ingenuity in organizing joint time, they do not control what they do and what they say. The truth comes out of man - the proverbial "awl from the bag".
