Demobilization- process of standing down a nation's armed forces from combat-ready status

Four-Power Treaty- treaty signed by the United States, Great Britain, France and Japan at the Washington Naval Conference on 13 December 1921.
Kellogg-Briand Pact- a 1928 international agreement in which signatory states promised not to use war to resolve "disputes or conflicts of whatever nature
Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom- a non-profit non-governmental organization working "to bring together women of different political views and philosophical and religious backgrounds determined to study and make known the causes of war and work for a permanent peace"

Installment buying- Purchasing a commodity over a period of time. The buyer gains the use of the commodity immediately and then pays for it in periodic payments
Tariffs- a tax or duty to be paid on a particular class of imports or exports.
Teapot Dome- a government scandal involving a former United States Navy oil reserve in Wyoming that was secretly leased to a private oil company in 1921; became symbolic of the scandals of the Harding administration.
Neutrality Acts- laws passed in 1935, 1936, 1937, and 1939 to limit U.S. involvement in future wars
Calvin Coolidge- A political leader of the early twentieth century. A Republican, he rose to prominence as governor of Massachusetts when he broke a strike by policemen in Boston
Herbert Hoover- A political leader of the twentieth century, who was president from 1929 to 1933
Supply-side economics- macroeconomic theory that argues economic growth can be most effectively created by lowering taxes and decreasing regulation
Isolationism- policy of remaining apart from the affairs or interests of other groups, especially the political affairs of other countries
