good evening chair person, judges, ladies and gentlemen, fellow 4-hers and parents. You are probably thinking what in the world am i talking about. Some people might know and some might not. not everyone knows what is interesting and gross to me. Something slimy, wet and gross is fish, sometime, snakes, sometimes lizards, things along that line. Well what I'm talking about is a combination between a fish, snake and lizard. I am talking about the MUDSKIPPER. (lift the blanket or whatever is covering my stuff to show them the mudskipper.) the mudskipper looks gross. i actually find it funny that i am doing my speech on them. They i guess they interest me though even though they're gross.
Mudskippers are members of the subfamily Oxudercinae, within the family Gobiidae (Gobies). They are completely amphibious fish, fish that can use their pectoral fins to walk on land. I just said that they are fish and can walk on land. That is so amazing how GOD has created some animals. Being amphibious, they are uniquely adapted to intertidal habitats. interidal meaning a region that is above the low-water mark and below the high-water mark. Unlike most fish in such habitats, which survive the retreat of the tide by hiding under wet seaweed or in tidal pools.
