“PAY ATTENTION!” the teacher growled, in an annoyed voice.

The sound of her shrill, raspy voice woke me up.

I had no memory of what I was thinking or what the class was about, all I could remember is that I was woken from a relaxing nap by the stupid teacher.

“Are you even listening to the lesson?” the teacher asked me.

“Yes.” I replied.

“Really, what were we talking about?” the teacher asked doubtfully.

“I dunno.” I shrugged.

Yep, this is my life.

This is pretty much every day at school.

By the way, my name is Zeke.


I am always sooooo bored, on the scale of how much I actually care about classes is about zero percent.

In my opinion, school should just be optional.

Luckily for me tomorrow is summer break, at least I have something to look forward too.

Anyways, I met my demise when I heard the intercom turn on.

“Zeke Johnson, will you please report to the Principal Mayo’s office.”

Mayo is an old man, he has a bald head and yellow teeth.

But he is always freaking looking forward to me getting in trouble.

Well, here’s a report for you Principal Mayo,

You suck and I hate you and your boring, optional school.

How’s that for a report?

Then again, I didn’t have much of a choice, as the teacher was glaring at me, her eyes suggesting if get going to the Principal’s office she would kick me there herself.

So I walked down the hallway, the whole time thinking, Man, what did I do this time, I WAS JUST SLEEPING!

I opened the door and heard a deep, uncomfortable voice coldly greet me.

“Zeke Johnson!” Principal Mayo yelled.

“I didn’t do it!” I replied out of habit.

“Ok,” Principal Mayo said. “So you didn’t get all F’s on all your classes?”

“Okay, maybe I DID do that” I confessed.

“Alrighty then,” Mayo smirked, clear of his joy of me failing. “It is my duty to put you in summer school.

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” I screamed.

“I have more important things to do then study stupid classes!”

“Well then.” Mayo chuckled.

“Looks like all your video games and comic book reading will have to be cancelled.”

How does he know about my schedule anyways?

Does he bug my room or something?

“You will meet outside the school tomorrow,” Mayo said. “Or I will have to email your parents your report cards from the last six months.”

Great, now he is blackmailing me, well, to tell you the truth I’m not surprised.

Well tomorrow is gonna be a pretty “exciting” day.
