> "Of which question, the solution is twofold. For either we do not receive the testimony of Mark, which is extant in rare gospels almost all the greek books not having this chapter at the end especially since it looks like it narrates things diverse from and contrary to certain evangelists.


Most of the late manuscripts that have the longer ending are in the west while the eastern ones where the events happened do not have the ending.


Verses 16:9-20 contradict verse 8 and the other gospels because verse 8 says that the women told no one about it while verses 9-20 have the women telling the disciples.

Mark's cliffhanger in verse 8 left room open for more embellishment.

Multiple different stories in Mark 16:9-20, Some manuscripts have the story as we see it in the bible now but some have extremely different passages in the 9-20 we have now.
