Notes

Maria hummed along to the car radio as she drove through the neighborhood, tracing the route from her workplace to her and Eliza's house. As soon as she got closer to the house, she turned the car into the driveway. The radio came to a stop, but her humming stayed as she grabbed her purse from the passenger seat, unbuckled her seatbelt, then pushed open the car door. She swung her legs out of the car, soon approaching the front door. She carefully stuck the key in the lock, pushing the door open quietly and immediately glancing around for her girlfriend. She dropped the keys back in her purse and set it down.
"Eliza!" she called, quickly checking downstairs for her. When she received no reply, she figured that she simply couldn't hear her from upstairs. She strolled up the stairs, instantly hearing a soft buzzing sound from the bedroom. Gently and noiselessly, she pushed open the door. She bit her lip at the sight, unable to hold back her small smile. She stayed quiet for a moment, then stepped inside, shutting the door behind her so that Eliza could hear the little click of the door.
