Fire
Fire magic is a rather destructive force, and possibly one of the most widely known magics throughout the land, useful in a wide range of combats - after all, fire is known as the cleanser of all for a reason. Be warned, using too powerful fire magic without the proper level or channeling tool will result in burns on the caster’s hands and arms. Fire is a more aggressive style, accompanied with wide sweeping motions. Precise fire is harder to control than simply firing forth a large swathe of flames.

Ice
Ice magic is a much calmer, colder, and precise magic. Where fire destroys the entire body, Ice is like the scalpel, simply slicing the throat. Overuse of Ice magic leads to loss of body heat and the eventual coverage of ice on clothing, then skin, though this does not cause hypothermia or frostbite to the user. Body heat is drained until the heart stops.

Water
Water magic is perhaps one of the easiest magics to call upon, though it requires a calm, clear mind to use effectively. It’s hard to use as a purely offensive magic on its own, though it has numerous defensive purposes, as well as the help with simple things such as cleaning, washing, and firefighting.

Wind
Wind magic is one of the more versatile magics, though to be used effectively in more than just a push and shove form, the user has to be a quick thinker. It’s not uncommon for a well-practiced wind mage to be able to use their magic to guide arrows or things to that effect. Overuse of wind magic can pull breath from the lungs of the caster and those near it.

]Lightning
Lightning is a rather dangerous element to harness and use, though it is completely devastating on its targets. Few uses exist outside of combat. One slight error in using lightning will result in electrocution and burns.

Earth
Earthen magic is possibly one of the more stable, grounded magics to use. Relying on a steady mindset and the presence of rock and dirt near the caster, Earthen magic can vary from the simple moving of a pebble to the shaping of boulders. Some geomancers reach the point where they’re hired on to assist mining companies in the digging of tunnels. Overuse of Earth magic results in a much higher fatigue than other magics, giving the user the feeling of rock-like limbs that are nigh-on impossible to move.
