Wushu menggunakan 5 elemen sebagaimana elemen bangsa china yakni air, api, kayu, bumi dan logam.
1. Air melambangkan kelembutan
2. Api melambangkan kekuatan dan ketangkasan
3. Kayu melambangkan tulang dan otot
4. Bumi melambangkan pertahanan, dan
5. Logam melambangkan penggunaan senjata.
Teknik pernapasan dasar Qigong (dibaca chi gong). Untuk memfokuskan diri sehingga tidak merasakan sakit saat diserang.
How to :
1. Tarik nafas dan buang perlahan dqn ulangi hal ini beberapa kali sambil menjernihkan pikiran.
2. Tutup mata lalu bayangkan di dalam perut kita ada sebuah ruangan kosong dan pusatkan pikiran isi ruangan kosong itu dg udara yg kalian hirup konsentrasi. Gunakan fokus dan imajinasi untuk memvisualisaaikannya
3. Lakukan berulang dan sering untuk melatih hal twrsebut agar fokus semakin terjaga.
