It was getting worse every night. She couldn't sleep. She has been rolling over in her bed and stared at the ceiling for hours. She tried to meditate. Tried to breathe deeply. Tried to take sleep aid supplements. Nothing helped. She didn't share her concerns with anyone. In the daylight, she was feeling perfectly normal. But as the darkness was coming, her thoughts started driving her crazy. Ever since she began the experiment she couldn't find the inner peace. The myriads of questions were bombarding her. Is it worth it? What if I could start it over? Why am I even doing it? How do I know if I'm doing the right thing? The answers were vague.
On one cold lonely December night, it all came to an end. She got up from the bed, full of determination and courage. Went to the kitchen and opened the cabinet. Reached out for the sacred object. That was it. The moment of absolute happiness. Fudgy milk chocolate square topped with caramel pieces coated with even more milk chocolate finished with sprinkles of sea salt melted in her mouth. All of a sudden everything became clear. "No more diets!" she said out loud. Now she could eat the chocolate with a peace of mind. Not that she hadn't eaten it during the experiment: she did, but that always caused a great disturbance. All answers now became clear. Life's too short not to eat chocolate
