I am applying for the postion of Coffee + Food Fanatic at your Pontcanna cafe. Collectively I have several years of front of house cafe/barista experience. I have worked in a range of different cafes but what attracts me to KIN & ILK is your focus on high quality coffee.
I am fully competant in working front of house (great customer service, operating the till, multitasking etc.) I also love working as a barista. I'm proud of how my knowledge/skills have developed at making coffee but I'm also eager to learn more and hone my skills.
I am aware that you regularly host events and I would be well suited to this. Prior jobs have fashioned me with experience in working exhibitions, private functions and even weddings.
I am a very reliable employee. I have always been entrusted with opening up and closing the cafes I have worked for. Additionally taking stock check and being responible for cashing up and delivering the cafe's profits at the end of shifts.
Qualities which make me suitable for this role:
* Very flexible. Although I would ideally like to work full time, I would also be happy to work part time if it gave me to opportunity to join the KIN & ILK team
* Highly organised and clean worker (I always enrure to leave the surrounding work station presentable for both my collegues and the customers)
* Conscientious of customer satisfaction and the atmosphere of the cafe (for example, I would always ensure suitably toned music was played as not to distract from the pleasant environment we aim to create)
* I have passed the SCA Barista Skills Foundation (April 2017), Barista Skills Intermediate (June 2017) and recently attended the London Coffee Festival.
