Proxima Centauri adalah bintang katai merah yang terletak sejauh 4,2 tahun cahaya (3,97×1013 km) dari Bumi.Bintang ini terletak di rasi bintang Centaurus. Proxima Centauri ditemukan pada tahun 1915 oleh Robert Innes, Direktur Observatorium Union di Afrika Selatan.Bintang ini adalah bintang terdekat dari Matahari, meskipun terlalu redup untuk dilihat tanpa menggunakan alat bantu.
2. Alpha Centauri
Alpha Centauri (dikenal juga sebagai Rigil Kentaurus, Rigil Kent, atau Toliman) adalah bintang paling cerah dalam rasi Centaurus. Walaupun tampak seperti satu titik jika dilihat tanpa menggunakan alat bantu, bintang ini sebenarnya adalah sistem tiga bintang.

3. Bintang Barnard
Bintang Barnard dalah bintang katai merah bermassa sangat kecil yang terletak sekitar 6 tahun cahaya dari Bumi. Bintang ini terletak di rasi bintang Ophiuchus.
Bintang Barnard adalah bintang paling dekat di Ophiuchus.
4. Bintang Wolf 359
Wolf 359 adalah bintang katai merah yang terletak di konstelasi Leo, dekat ekliptika.Berada pada jarak sekitar 7,8 tahun cahaya dari Bumi.Bintang ini memiliki magnitudo tampak sebesar 13,5 dan hanya dapat dilihat dengan teleskop besar.
