Tidak. Dibanding dengan battle creatures, Kirin lebih cocok sebagai defense creatures atau peliharaan karena Kirin hanya akan menyerang ketika dirinya dalam bahaya dan menghukum manusia ketika berbuat dosa. Kirin termasuk makhluk yang baik dan lembut.
Bahkan pada beberapa cerita, Kirin diceritakan sebaga peliharaan dewa. Yang artinya Kirin ideal dengan sosok dengan kepribadian bijak yang akan bertindak sesuai porsinya, layaknya Kirin. Jadi Kirin kurang cocok dikatakan sebagai battle creatures.
