Once upon a time, there were 2 miners. They were named Jennifer and Jonah. They owned a land plot where they excavated jewels. But the dirt in the land plot was hard to dig up. They had to put a tremendous amount of effort to scoop even one shovel full of dirt. Most of the things that Jennifer and Jonah dug up were worthless, heavy rocks. Occasionally, they’d find a very dirty jewel, but it was impossible to scrub all the dirt off. Every few months, they’d find a tiny, clean jewel. Jennifer and Jonah knew it wasn’t enough to keep them financially stable, so they traded their old plot to an old, wise lady named Olivia, and bought a new one. Their new plot was much easier. Each day, the wind would blow the loose soil away and reveal all sorts of precious gems. No cleaning was needed, so all they had to do was pick up the gems each morning and sell them at the market in the afternoon. They were happy and satisfied. One day, they decided to see how Olivia was doing. They came to their old land plot and saw a jaw-dropping sight. Olivia pulling a wagon full of the shiniest jewels they had ever seen. In the evening, they asked Olivia how she mined those shiny jewels. Olivia laughed. “It’s easy,” she said. First, she pulled out a bag of dust labeled “attention,” and sprinkled it on the dirt. She pulled out a shovel and started to dig up the dirt. It seemed effortless to do so, and she uncovered many, many, rock and jewels. Olivia then picked them all up and brought them to her workshop. She put the rocks in a bucket and filled them with water. Then, she took out another bag of dust labeled, “understanding,” and sprinkled it in the water. The water immediately clouded up with dust, but when she pulled the rocks out it was no longer a rock. It was a dirty jewel. Lastly, she pulled out yet another bag labeled, “assistance”, put all the jewels inside another bucket, and sprinkled the dust on it. The water immediately clouded up again, and when she pulled jewels out, it was the shiniest jewels they had ever seen. “One more thing,” Olivia said. She pulled out a bottled liquid labeled, “patience” and microfiber cloth, and she poured some of the liquid onto the cloth and started polishing the jewels. Oh, they were magnificent and stupendous. When they got home, Jennifer said, “If only we dug a little deeper.” Jonah said if only we gave our plot attention and patience. “We’d have the most wonderful jewels ever seen,” they said in unison
