I went through the applications that the Programmer has worked on/developed during his tenure till date and found that some of those are not being used now, some of those are yet to be implemented and rest are being used by the staff and their overall feedback regarding the applications seems to be OK. However, they feel that the applications still need modifications and require new features to be added. ( Please find attached individual feedback for each application developed by him )
The foremost work of a System Analyst is documentation to asecertain current capabilities and what needs to be changed or improved and to develop specifications for the required capabilities of the new system and the feasibility study, requirements, flowcharts and design specifications which the Programmer seldom addresses or look into these matter. I am of the view that the Programmer should improve his skills and look into the system more rigorously and to analyze the requirements of system in place, current problem and changes/improvements to be incorporated in view of functional requirements and technical requirements.
As far as the programming knowledge of the Programmer is concerned, the applications developed/modified by him is OK in nature.
