POWERS:
Nightmares - can give and take nightmares from people, manipulate them, and change their intensity
Stygian weapons - can make a being unable to weird a stygian weapon, can create stygian weapons with ease, and can manipulate their properties, can control most other weapons to a mild extent
Wandering - can locate anything, travel around anywhere with ease, help lost people find their way, make lost people even more lost, or make a wanderers surroundings seem more or less terrifying.
Safety - can give a person a feeling of safety, can be seen as something/someone safe, can take away the feeling of safety and manipulate how safe an environment or a person really is
Sight - can see the immediate future, can take or give a perosn sight, can change the quality of ones sight, can see extreme details, can change how ones eyes perceive things

PERSONALITY
Easily angered, lonely, usually scared, can be very joyous, loves to make people (particularly demigods) happy, is generally a confortable person to be around unless you've heard the stories

BACKGROUND
Staphridone was born as Rhyan, a Greek demigod and daughter of Hades. She was the most powerful demigod of her generation, and yet the most benevolent. She never did a quest she did not believe him, usually earning her some backlash from the Olympians. However, she died on a rescue mission for a group of kidnapped demigods. She died in order to kill the powerful monster the captured them, fighting it for hours until she was slain. She was brought back by Artemis fighting defiantly for her to be redeemed as a Goddess, saying she saved a child of everyone in the room that night, and they should be grateful for such a warrior.
However, centuries later when she was assisting some demigods on a quest, she was betrayed. A son of Poseidon entrapped her in waves, choking her with saltwater and stealing her prized Stygian Iron Sword, the only one of it's kind. They then went to the gods, begging at their feet as they said Rhyan tried to harm them. She broke free from the waves and returned to Olympus, ultimately stealing her sword back and slaying the son of poseidon, letting his blood drip down the steps. This brought out the gods ongoing wariness of her, and the demigods fear. It is after this that she starting going by the name Staphridone, erasing the person she used to be.
When Nico ran away from camp half-blood, she found him. Since he had not yet heard the stories, he did not fear her, and she eased the oncoming nightmares he got form the labyrinth. It is after a few weeks of looking after him that she gifted him her sword, him being the only one in centuries to treat her well, besides the hunters of Artemis.
She did not fight in either war, but she made sure to ease the nightmares of the demigods that did fight. She used her powers to make them feel safe, and to make sure they didn't have to relive the horrors they had faced.
She encountered Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase when they were in Tartarus, since she is one of very few who can travel in and out (because of her affinity with the river Styx), and he showed a clear distaste for her, but asked her to help nonetheless. Staphridone did not answer him, but she did help them by attempting to keep his and Annabeths heads straight, and helping to guide the others to the Doors of Death. She helped to ease their nightmares after the wars as well.
