What impact do teams have in school, sports, or any type of competition? -----They represent the school / Team pride brings people together and unites members to achieve a goal. However, this also puts people at odds with each other because teams compete to achieve the same goal.
-Nationalism can be applied to nations and internal groups who wish to unite and form countries.
Why would nationalism lead to intolerance toward other ethnic/national groups?
-Superiority complexes /belief in being the superior-believing one's people/homeland/ethnicity/nationality/etc. are superior to another
--A pride in one's country is turned into hate when another country may conflict with their country
--Habit of summarising countries as ideas bias towards their country (in favour of) leads to prejudice against other ones or feeling superior, thus leading to conflict
--When you have a loyalty to one's nation people tend to think that their nation and religion are better than everyone else, so people aren't tolerant of other people's nations
--Nationalism could be used as an excuse for people who only want to live in the past rather than accept any new changes in a country
