Vasariškas pavasaris davė startą Ignalinos aerodromo ir Skraidybos centro pilotų mokyklai. Šeštadienį buvo iškeltos vėliavos, o susirinkę pilotai laukė atskrendančio lėktuvo su intruktoriumi Arūnu Rupkum. Dalis į orą kilo pirmąjį kartą ir susipažino su skrydžio principais, kiti, labiau patyrę, tobulino savo įgudžius ir tęsė mokslus, siekdami pagrindinio tikslo - išlaikyti egzaminą ir gauti piloto licenciją.

Pastaruoju metu tiek pasaulinėje, tiek Lietuvos aviacijoje vyksta skraidymo nedideliais, dažniausiai dviviečiais lėktuvais, proveržis. Skraidymas tokiais orlaiviais - nebrangus, o svarbiausia - saugus. Tą lėmė naujų medžiagų ir lanksčių gamybos technologijų atsiradimas. Lėktuvo kaina panaši kaip naujo automobilio, o patirtis skrendant - nepalyginima. Dalis savininkų orlaivius nuomoja, todėl didėjant naujų orlaivių prieinamumui, kyla ir pilotų ruošimo poreikis. Šia veikla ir užsiima Skraidybos centro mokykla. Daugeliui skraidančių žmonių lėktuvas yra ne tik keliavimo priemonė (Lietuvoje yra virš 30 aerodromų, kuriuose galima nutūpti), bet ir pramoga, ramybė, kurią gali pajusti tik pakilęs nuo žemės ir atsiduręs šalia debesų. Ignalinos aerodromas ir Skraidybos centras laukia visų norinčių išmokti pilotuoti lėktuvus, o jau mokančius nusileisti puodeliui kavos!
