Notes - notes.io

When you are in Morocco, you are unofficial ambassadors of your country. The way you dress, speak, and act will affect the way Moroccans perceive your culture and country. Packing the right gear (and the right amounts) is the first step to an incredible travel experience. Follow these tips to pack like a pro:
Travel light. Pack only the essentials. You’ll need less than you think!
Bring the right clothes. Pack clothes that are culturally appropriate for your destination and acceptable for service projects. This means bringing long shorts that cover your knees, t-shirts with sleeves to cover shoulders (not tank tops), and appropriate footwear.
Leave your valuables behind. While traveling, it’s easier for things to get lost, stolen, or damaged. Keep any prized possessions safe at home.
Standards of dress some regions we will be visiting of Morocco are conservative. Short shorts, strappy tank-tops, and working shirtless are not acceptable for community service projects. You will also be required to wear close-toed shoes while at your service site. Please make sure the clothing that you pack reflects these cultural standards. We recommend bringing at least a few outfits that can get dirty or destroyed for service work.
