- Since Lear thinks he is too old, he thinks that he should be taken care by his daughters

- Lear banished Kent, his loyal friend
- Lear gave his lands to the wrong people, in this case, Goneril and Regan
- When he goes to Goneril's house, he was treated badly so he decided to go to Regan's house
- Lear is starting to get paranoid when the fool told him indirectly that his daughters are the same sour apples
