Intro
It is understandable that new students would lose his old friends, connections, and more when he moves to a new school. The student committee could help in multiple ways. Some ideas that they could consider are having a school tour, a lunch for new students, and a buddy assigned to each student
1. Building Tour - not just showing student around but social trust between all classmates
Students develop trust between each other. At the first day of school a group of committee members takes the new students and show them around for the day. While they walk, students can socialize and get along with each other.
2. New students lunch - every 2-3 students sit with a new student [Introduce, Talk]
Each student feels comfortable with each other. All students introduce each other. They can talk and share experiences.
3. School Buddie - First week of school every new student is assigned a buddy to ask questions and get along with
If a student needs anything they can go to their school buddy. The school buddies can help them with anything related to school. It will last for a week.
Conclusion
Anything could be done as long as it would make the students quickly adapted to their surroundings. I have just explained 3 ways to help students feel welcomed and comfortable. They were having a tour of the school, a new students lunch, and school buddies. There much more ways the students could be welcomed.
