Teks GU bangsa Babilonia berisi tentang pengaturan letak bintang-bintang dalam suatu ‘string’ yang berada di sepanjang lingkaran deklinasi sehingga dapat dihitung ukurannya serta interval waktunya, juga untuk menilik bintang zenith yang dipisahkan oleh perbedaan yang terlihat.
