Lumos merupakan mantra yang berfungsi untuk mengeluarkan cahaya putih berpendar dari tongkat pengguna.

Lumos belum ditemukan hingga abad ke-18. Mantra ini pertama kali digunakan ke publik oleh Levina Monkstanley, di Kementrian Sihir pada 1772 untuk membantunya mencari pena bulu yang jatuh disudut berdebu.
Namun, ada penyihir lain yang mengaku menjadi salah satu yang menemukan mantra itu. Yaitu Garvin Lugner dari Jerman, yang mengaku menemukan mantra itu bersama bubuk kegelapan instan miliknya. Hal ini terbukti bohong bersamaan dengan bubuknya yang terbukti tidak terlalu berpengaruh.
Lumos juga dapat mengusir makhluk spektral seperti Gytrashes dan roh jahat.
Untuk mendapatkan cahaya yang lebih terang, maka dapat menggunakan 'Lumos Solem'.
