Oposisi Jupiter
Oposisi Jupiter merupakan peristiwa ketika Matahari-Bumi-Jupiter berada satu garis lurus di bidang Tata Surya. Dengan begitu, peristiwa ini juga menandai jarak terdekat antara Bumi dengan Jupiter, dan membuat Jupiter berada di posisi yang baik untuk diobservasi.
Pada tanggal 8 April 2016 Oposisi Jupiter dari Indonesia, Jupiter akan terlihat dari pukul 18:22 WIB hingga keesokan hari pukul 05:26 WIB.
Planet termasif di Tata Surya ini akan mencapai titik tertinggi di langit pukul 23:52 WIB, yakni di ketinggian 89° di atas horizon Timur Laut
Ssaat fenomena ini terjadi Planet Jupiter bisa diamati dengan mata telanjang bagai bintang kuning yang terang, hal ini dikarenakan jaraknya dan bumi di persempit jadi bisa terlihat.
Pada saat fenomena ini, kita dapat melihat 4 satelit alami milik Jupiter. Empat satelit alami besar milik Jupiter yang dapat dilihat saat Oposisi Jupiter yaitu; Io, Kalisto, Ganimede, dan Europa.
