I think I'd like to see an education tree reform, something similar to the faction skill tree. Although it'd be harder to implement, because of all the time people have spent learning their current courses (literally months, and even years for the older players), I think I have a possible solution to this problem. Know that I have absolutely no knowledge of any of the hidden side of Torn, any knowledge of how coding works, nor the limits of whatever magic makes the game work, whether it be Monty Python or the magic Arcana crystals of a land unknown to myself, I have absolutely no idea if this is even possible. I'm thinking along the lines of course requisites outside of the main tree you're trying to climb, AKA course prerequisites that aren't only in Physics, if you want to get a bachelors for physics. And more advanced, specialized education branches.

A whole bunch of ideas jumbled into on paragraph:

I was recently looking through a post suggesting Chemistry as a set of courses, but the end goal being able to create a new set of Temporary items, poisons. A cool concept, I admit, but I think that it could be used for something better. More specifically, the ability to create the drugs we know and love, but with twists in them. Ingredients could be purchased by people who unlocked the bachelor of chemistry (similar to the Pharmacy). And a lab could be bought as an attachment to certain houses, or you could convert excess Trailers into labs that could be visited. How much money you spent on the lab, from a basic chemistry set in a trailer (cheap, dirty, creating impure drugs) to a fully decked out Penthouse lab, with the best equipment, possibly Lab Assistants, etc (very expensive add on, pristine, creating Very Nice™ drugs). Also, I went with a penthouse as being able to achieve the best lab, because I didn't want this to be as money locked as a Private Island is. But I was thinking that you'd have to buy a penthouse, and convert the entire thing in to a lab instead of just living in it with your lab. And then if you have a PI, you can have a lab and live there as well, or something on those lines. (I guess if you have a PI, you don't have to buy a Penthouse and make it a lab, but it'd be cool and you wouldn't have a drug lab on your Private Island, which would be suspicious to the very effective police force in Torn City). This would also have to add a purity rating to drugs, that could be hidden or shown. If hidden, I think it would be possible, if you had a certain Chem course unlocked and the proper equipment, to test the drugs to check their purity. They could also cut their drugs with other ingredients to "create more" but lessen purity, and increase the chance of OD, hospitalisation, stuff like that. And for Weed I'm thinking a THC percentage type thing, that can be refined into extracts, etc; and would require some outside of Chem knowledge (add Agriculture, maybe Hydroponics in General) to have a more advanced grow-op (bigger property = larger grow-op = more weed per batch). The chem knowledge would allow you to identify how potent your weed is. The agriculture knowledge would allow you to cultivate either weed with more THC, or less THC. Refining it would be a whole other process that I can't think of ATM (possibly requiring some Chem knowledge). The whole point of more THC concentration, or purity of a drug, would be to have a stronger effect of the drug, with the same amount of drug cooldown (it wouldn't have to be like double the effect, but noticeably stronger one would be cool). I am also not including Xanax as a drug you can manufacture with basic chem knowledge, or ketamine. Medicine is also not included in this. HOWEVER, an example of a more specialized branch would be Pharmaceuticals. And here's where the more interconnected course prerequisites come into play. To BEGIN the first lesson of in Pharmaceuticals you'd have to have certain courses completed in other disciplines. For example, stealing from a university admissions for a Ba.S (Pharmacy). You'd have to have "6 credits" of English (2 courses currently in General are Basic English and Creative Writing, 3 credits each), 9 credits of biology (there's already a biology tree), 6 credits of Maths (already exists) and 3 credits in Physics. Physics requirement, but this is where I need help from other people, with their ideas. I'd rather include the physics tree, but give it it's own specials, and have it unlock something.
