YDS ÖZET (bazı önemli notlar)

1-the==>whole dan önce,all dan sonra kullanılır
the whole money/ the whole day
all the money/ all day (the sız)
Not: all ile whole "the" ya göre ayırt edilebilir

2- bir bütünü oluşturabilme özelliği
whole ile kullanacağınız isim bir bütün oluşturabilmeli
mesela whole body = doğru
whole class= doğru
whole person =yanlış

3- by far + superlative kullanılır. Buna dikkat edilmelidir.

4-far veya rather dan sonra comparetive kullanılır.

5-iyelik eki ve zamir varsa superlative de "the" kullanılmaz.
my best.... veya world' most beautiful place..........

6-if ve Should kullanım farkı
if kısaltması olan should dikkat edilmelidir. Çünkü should dan sonra fiilin yalın hali kullanılır.
ornk1===>If she goes to The USA, she can improve her English.
ornk1===>Should she go to The USA, she can improve her English(fiil "s" takısı almaz)

ornk2===>If the weather is rainy, we will stay at home.
ornk2===>Should the weather be rainy, we will stay at home. (am/is/are yerine be kullanılır)

7-most of the...., some of the...., all of the...., the whole.... kullanımlarına dikkat edilmelidir.

8-NOT: “Who” özne yerine gelir. “ Who+V+O”

9-NOT1: “Which” özne yerine gelir. “ Which+V+O”
NOT2:Eğer “ Preposition+which” olursa tam cümle gelir. “Prep+Which+S+V+O”

10-NOT: “Where” ya da “Prep+Which” ardından tam cümle gelir. “Where+S+V+O” ya da “Prep+Which+S+V+O” olur.

11-NOT: “When” sonra tam cümle gelir. “When+S+V+O”. “When” yerine “prep+ which” kullanılabilir. Bundan sonrada tam cümle gelir.

12-NOT: “reason+Why” kullanılır ve ya “reason+for which” bu da kullanılabilir. Bunu gördüğünde ya “Why” yada “for which” olur.

13-NOT: “How” genellikle “how+sıfat” veya “how+ to V0” şeklinde kullanılır.
=====>How often does he work?
==>I am not sure how often he Works. ( “How+sıfat”)

=====>How to use this iron?
NCL==>I don’t know how to use this iron. ( “How+to V0”)

14-NOT: whose iki nesneyi bir birine bağlar ve whose dan sonra gelen isim a /an/the/my vs almaz.Yalın olmalıdır. Bu isim sıfat alabilir çoğul da olabilir.

15-NOT: “Whom” tam bir cümle olması lazım. “Whom+S+V+O” . “Whom” yerine “Who” kullanılabilir ama “preposition” varsa “Who” kullanılmaz. “Whom” özne yoksa kullanılmaz. “Who”, preposition varsa kullanılmaz.

16-NOT1: Process ,procedure, method, technique, system, mechanism, way gibi yöntem bildiren kelimeler için whereby ,by which
NOT2: “Whereby” “by which” ardından tam bir cümle gelir. “Whereby+S+V+O”

==>Politics is process by which groups of people make decisions.
==>Genetics is the study of heredity and of the mechanisms whereby genetic factors are transmitted from one generation to the next.

17-NOT: Temel cümle ve NCL un öznesi aynı ise “WH+infinitive(to V0)” kısaltması yapılır.
Örnek: “I don’t know how I can write an accident report” ya da “I don’t know how to write an accident report” .

18-NOT: “If” ile “Whether” karşılaştırmasında her zaman “whether” kazanır. Preposition dan sonra “if” gelmez. “if” cümlede özne tamamlayıcısı olarak kullanılmaz. “if or not”kullanımı yoktur. Ama “if………..or not” kullnımı var.

19-NOT: RCL aktif ise kaldırdığında Ving gelir. Pasif ise V3 kullanılır. Zaman farkı varsa aktif ise “having+V3” pasif ise “having been V3” kullanılır. Fakat V3 kullanmasıda mümkündür.
Örnek1:==>Richard, who had been fired, look for another job for weeks.
==> Having been fired, Richard look for another job for weeks.(pasif)
Örnek2: ==>They are students who have just met me.
==>They are students having just met me.

20-NOT1: Virgülden sonra that kullanılmaz.İstisna iki virgül arasına ve virgülden sonraki açıklamaya dikkat edilmelidir.

=====>It has been claimed,but never confirmed by the US Federal Reverse that ……(S+V+O)

21-NOT1:It passive+that +S+V+O dikkat edilmelidir.

=====>It has been argued that Erzurum’s prosperity and rapid develop are largely due to the animals industry.

22-NOT3: “ quantifiers+of+ whose/which/whom” dikkat edilmelidir.

=====>They have two house, one of which is in Erzurum.
=====>In my English class in teol course there are 10 students, most of whom are from Erzurum.
=====>They talked about Harun, one of whose problems was coming to class late.

NOT:Preposition dan sonra that gelmez the fact that gelir.

KULLANIM!!!!!!

I. No sooner +had +subj + V3+than+ subj + V2

===>No sooner had I entered the lesson than my teacher arrived.
Tr=>Tam derse girmiştim ki öğretmenim vardı.

===> No sooner had I left home than I came accross my best friend.
Tr=>Tam evden çıkmıştım ki en iyi arkadaşıma rastladım.

II. Hardly +had +subj + V3+when+ subj + V2

===>Hardly had I finished my subject when the ring rang.
Tr=>Tam konumu bitirmiştim ki zil çaldı.


III. Scarcely +had +subj + V3+when+ subj + V2

===>Scarcely had I entered the class when it went off.
Tr=>Tam sınıfa girmiştim ki elektrikler kesildi.

NOT:
No sooner +had +subj + V3+than+ subj + V2
Hardly +had +subj + V3+when+ subj + V2
Scarcely +had +subj + V3+when+ subj + V2

25-NOT:Zaman sorusu (V3,V2) sorulduğu gibi kendileri (no sooner/hardly/scarcely) de sorulabilir veya eşanlamlı sorularda bunlar yerine "soon after" kullanılabilir.

26-I. Would rather + V1 + than + V1
II. Would rather + subj +V2 + than + V2 (than + V2 olmayabilir.)
III. Would rather + have V3 + than + have V3
IV. Would prefer + to V1 + than + to V1 (to V1 ikinci kısmı olmayabilir)

27-1. SUBJUNCTIVES (DİLEK ŞART KİPİ)

FORMUL!!
yalın hali="am/is/are" yerine "be" ve fiilin "s" takısı almamış hali
===>Subjunctive Verbs + that +subj + (should) + Vo(fiilin yalın hali)
===> Subjunctive Adjective + that +subj + (should) + Vo(fiilin yalın hali)
===> Subjunctive Nouns + that +subj + (should) + Vo(fiilin yalın hali)

28-NOT!!!!

===> “so/as” kalıbı “kadar” anlamı verip araya sıfat alan bir yapıdır. Ancak bu yapı sadece negatif cümlelerde kullanılır. Bu yönü ile aynı anlama gelen “as/as” kalıbından ayrılır.

SORU: Made out of the metal so that it conducts the charge, the lighting rod is usually located ……….. high …….. possible because of lightning’s tendency to strike the nearest object to it. (positive sentence)

29-NOT:

===> Seçenekler analiz edildiğinde eğer “so….that” ve “such…..that” kalıpları varsa soru kökünün ikinci boşluğun devamında tam cümle olması gerekir. Aynı zamanda cümlede neden sonuç ilişkisine dikkat edilmelidir.

30- yaklaşık her sınavda bu kalıplardan biri çıkar.
ÖZET:
==> as + adj/adv + as (as tall as)
==> so + adj/adv +that (so clean that)
==> such + a/an + adj + noun +that (such a perfect day that)
==> such + adj + a/an + noun + that (such perfect a day that)
==> the same + noun +as (the same length as)
==> adj + enough + to +V1 (tall enough to reach)
==> too + adj + to + V1 (to young to come)

31- so+miktar ifadesi.......+that+ tam cümle kullanımına dikkat ediniz. Çünkü such/that ile so/that arasında kalırsanız miktar ifadesi varsa so/that dir.

32-AS …… SO……..: KULLANIMI

NOT: “so/as” kadar anlamına gelen ve cümlenin anlamı negatif olması gereken ile karıştırmayın. Bu “as….so…..” kullanımıdır.

1. -dikçe ...:
==>As the time grew shorter so his excitement mounted.
==>Zaman azaldıkça heyecanı arttı.

2. ne kadar ... o kadar ...:

==>As she loves cats, so he loves birds.
==>O ne kadar kedi severse o da aynı şekilde kuş sever.

==>As she is beautiful so also is she intelligent.
==>Güzel olduğu kadar akıllıdır da.

3. nasıl ... öyle ...;

==>As you think, so will you behave.
==>Nasıl düşünürsen öyle davranırsın.
NOT: “so” cümleyi devrik yapmış dikkat ediniz.

==>Just as I refused to go yesterday, so I shall refuse to do so today.
==>Dün gitmeyi reddettim, nitekim bugün de reddedeceğim.

33-NOT:have/let/make + somebody(işi yapan) + Vo
NOT:get/force + somebody(işi yapan) + to Vo
NOT:have/get + something(işten etkilenen) + V3

34- I WISH / IF ONLY

======>One tense back<=====

Present tense ----> past tense
Past tense --------->past perfect tense
Will ------------------>would

Not: Bir geçmiş zamana gitme demektir. Positive->negative ve negative-> positive çevirme.
Dikkat!!!!

Soru: I wish he …………………… in Erzurum for 12 years.

Not: Normalde perfect tense(has lived) olması gerekir. Çünkü “for 12 years” var. Ama cümlenin başında bulunan “I wish/if only” bir zaman geriye götürerek “past perfect” olur.
