Kaktus Natal / Hatiora Gaertneri
Hatiora gaertneri atau Schlumbergera gaertneridikenal sebagai kaktus Paskah dan merupakan tanaman hias banyak dibudidayakan. Pertama kali ditemukan di Brazil.Termasuk dalam suku tanaman Rhipsalideae dalam subfamili Cactoideae dari Cactaceae. Disebut sebagai Kaktus Paskah karna waktu tumbuhnya seringkali bertepatan dengan musim semi dan pada waktu seperti inilah tanaman satu ini banyak dicari. Kaktus milik suku Rhipsalideae ini cukup berbeda dalam penampilan dan kebiasaan dari kaktus lain, karena mereka tumbuh di pohon atau batu sebagai epifit ataulithophytes, untuk waktu yang lama. Hatiora gaertneri sendiri pertama kali dijelaskan pada tahun 1884 oleh Eduard von Regel. Nama ‘Gaerteneri’ diambil dari nama milik salah satu Botanist terkenal, yaitu Joseph Gaertner untuk menghormati beliau. Kaktus Paskah dianggap lebih sulit untuk tumbuh daripada Kaktus Natal atau Thanksgiving kaktus. Jadi, cara perawatannya pun berbeda masing masingnya.
