I am Apurva Singhal, forth year B.Tech. student in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. I have been selected among 150 women
across globe (stood 16th position) through an intense competition to attend prestigious Google I/O (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_I/O).I am among the 3 IITians who received this entry ticket.
Google is providing me entry ticket to Google I/O and 500$ travel and stay
reimbursement, which is not sufficient for this trip.
It would be really great if IIT Roorkee can provide me partial sponsorship
to attend this conference in form of travel ticket to San Francisco, which
will be costing around 60,000 INR. This conference will be helpful for my
career perspective, and would be a great opportunity for me to learn and contribute to the best technologies currently developed and developing.
