may 7-- getting ready to go on the trail was hard. we had to get everything ready to go we packed extra wagon parts, pots and pans, tools, extra clothes, bacon, coffee, tea, sugar, and seeds. for the animals we brought were oxen so they can pull us. if1 we didn't have oxen we used horses or mules to pull us . a herd of cows for meat and milk.
may 8 -- beginning the trail is fun so far but I know it will get worse. When we actually have to start doing work. The weather is kind of cloudy but temperature wise warm. Going past the Missouri river was hard because we had to get In the water to cross it. It was cold the animals I saw were wolves, bears, and buffalo.
