Gandhiji had four Ashrams in India namely the Satyagraha Ashram, the Sevagram Ashram, The Tolstoy farm and the Anandvan Ashram!
*About the Satyagraha Ashram*
It was later renamed as Harijan Ashram
It was found on 25th may 1915 at kocharab Ahmedabad
The Ashram has one Upasana Mandir and the Gandhi Sangrahalaya
Magan Kutir was the hut where Maganlal Gandhi the manager of the Ashram used to stay
Gandhi Sangrahalaya is an Museum inaugurated by Jawaharlal Nehru on 10th may 1963
It has 5 units 1 library 2 photo galleries and one auditorium
It stores 34066 letters by Gandhiji, manuscripts of his 8633 articles, negatives of 6367 photographs, 134reels of micro film of his writings,210 films on gandhiji!
the library has over 30000 books, 155 letters of felicitation received by Gandhiji
* about the Sevagram Ashram*
Gandhiji stayed from 1936 to 1948 at this Ashram
Gandhiji started his padyatra from Sabarmati to Dandi for Salt Satyagraha in 1930
In April 1936 Gandhiji renamed Shegaon as Sevagram
Sevagram means village of service
Shegaon is a small village 8 kilometres from Wardha town in Maharashtra and 75 kilometres from Nagpur
there was another village in this region name Shegaon which was famous because of Saint Gajanan Maharaj and thus Gandhiji renamed Shegaon to Sevagram in 1940!

The Tolstoy farm was named by Hermann kallenbach it was founded in 1910 and dis Banded in 1913
* about the Anandvan Ashram*
it is also known as Baba Amte Ashram
Baba Amte Has been Bestowed with many national and international awards including Ramon magsaysay in 1985 and gandhi peace prize in 1999!
