Sesuai yang sensei katakan, kami diberi tugas menceritakan seputar sapu terbang diluar ap yang sensei jelaskan. Jadi saya akan bercerita sesuai dengan apa yang saya ketahui saja.
Saya pernah membaca buku tentang sapu terbang, dahulunya benda ini digunakan oleh seorang penyihir wanita. Sebenarnya, saat itu mereka bisa saja menggunakan hewan dan benda lainnya untuk terbang, hanya saja menurutnya dengan sapu lebih iconic.
Mereka terbang dengan sapu keluar melalui cerobong asap, saat itu penggunaannya tidak mudah. Mereka sulit menjaga keseimbangan tubuhnya sehingga mudah jatuh. Ada juga sebuah mitos yang mengatakan, bahwa saat loncenh gereja berbunyi seseorang yang sedang menaiki sapu terbang akan terjatuh.
Menurut sejarahnya, saat itu penyihir wanita sangatlah sombong karena menganggap dirinya bisa terbang. Padahal ada suatu zat yang ia tabur pada dirinya sehingga dapat terbang. Alasan itulah membuat pendeta marah akan kesombongan penyihir perempuan.
Dari buku yang berbeda, mengenai sapu terbang dalam dunia Harry Potter, saya menemukan beberapa jenis sapu terbang. Yaitu :
