Svartálfheim, ocation-svartalfheim
Dunia para Svartálfar (Swart Elfs/Elves) atau Dökkálfar (Dark Elfs/Elves) yaitu kaum Elf dari kegelapan. Gambaran dari Svartálfheim, gelap. Makanya dihuni oleh Dark Elfs.
Kalau yang ini adalah gambaran dari dunia Muspell/Muspellheim. Muspell ini adalah dunia api dan tempat tinggal para raksasa api yang merupakan musuh abadi para Aesir. Salah satunya Surt, raksasa yang kulitnya berupa lahar dan rambutnya adalah api. Nantinya api dari muspel ini yang yang membakar habis jembatan Bisfort dan memulai perang Ragnarok.
Selanjutnya, Niflheim. Niflheim ini kebalikannya Muspell. Apabila Muspel dunia api, maka Niflheim sebaliknya. Ini adalah dunia es dan merupakan daerah paling dingin. Rumah para raksasa es/Frost Giant yang dikuasai oleh Hel saudara perempuan Loki. Niflheim ini merupakan dunia pertama dunia pertama dalam sembilan dunia yang merupakan cikal bakal pembentukan alam semesta. Niflheim ini tempat orang-orang yang sudah mati berada.
Sembilan dunia dalam mitologi Nordik diciptakan Odin dan saudara-saudaranya setelah membunuh Ymir, raksasa yang yang merupakan makhluk hidup pertama yang tercipta di semesta. Potongan tubuh Ymir inilah yang menjadi fondasi dunia yang mereka ciptakan.
