Notes

Alex rubbed his eyes as the school bell rang, looking over to the large clock on the wall, his face showing signs of relief and thankfulness that he didn't have to continue writing about the 'Hoaxes of 2012' and other boring historical events that had apparently happened before the continents united. 

Before he could leave the classroom, he heard an annoying and obnoxious snicker coming from behind him. He wrinkled his nose and slightly turned his head to see a girl with long orange hair and amber eyes, the things that made up his least favorite person in this school.

Amber Carnelian, the top student at Capital South Affinity High and also the biggest hot-head known to man-kind. She wore the school's uniform for girls, a black jacket with black jeans, the jackets having a pin of the main four Affinities mashing together. Except, Amber being herself decided because she was the top student that she just had to have something different from the rest of the girls in the school, so she wore an orange dress shirt under the jacket, instead of a traditional white.

"Listen, Amber, I don't really have the urge to try and make fun of how that snicker sounded, so I'm just gonna walk out of class and hope I don't have to see your dumb face-"

Amber quickly slammed her hand a desk next to him, the ground under it slightly crumbling due to her Earth affinity. "Excuse me, Mica? I hope you remember who you're talking to! If you are to refer to me, it is as 'Class Rep, Ms. Carnelian.' Got that you insolent little-" 

"Yeah, okay, just remind me some other time when I'm not in a rush to get home and sleep off this conversation." Alex quickly made his way towards the door, rushing past Amber and her set of backup girls.

Amber's backup girls were exactly that, girls that seemingly would always yell something out like 'She's right!' or 'You yell at him more!' But, at this point, Alex had seemingly found a way to mentally mute them and continue on his day only having to deal with one annoying girl at school.

As Alex managed his way into the hallway, he sighed with relief as she hadn't followed him out and tried to strangle him. He smiled softly at the thought of him strangling her. 'Maybe she'll get around a year for assault? Or maybe even the chair!' Alex continued to smile all the way home.

Alex approached his apartment door, shoving his hand in his pocket and rummaging around until he could find a rusty key. He shoved the key into his door's keyhole and threw the door open, entering his small one door apartment and throwing his backpack on the floor, closing and locking the door behind him before jumping on his bed and letting out a soft yawn. 

'Finally, I can sleep off today and just wake up tomorrow, ready to go back and do the same boring shi-' A loud repeated knock disturbed his almost complete trance of sleepiness. Alex let out a loud audible groan, the person just continued to knock.
