Today I’m going to talk about a time when I was extremely busy. Well, that’s when I had the deadline to submit my academic writing assignment at the end of the 3rd semester at university.
This assigned task is of great importance to me as it constitutes 60% of the subject’s total mark, which means that it will decide whether I achieve a good overall grade in that subject or not. Despite being aware of that, I also had to meet the infinite number of deadlines from other subjects, particularly several presentations of general subjects as well as tight schedules for classes. Indeed, at that time I had little time to spare, even those days were so tough that sometimes I slept for 3 hours only at night.
Moreover, the composition task was really complicated and challenging; therefore, I had abundant tasks waiting for me to be carried out such as gathering data in the libraries, doing group discussions to conceptualize good ideas for the task and surfing high and low to accumulate information online as references for the writing assignment. I just had about 2 weeks to finish that essay, but I killed over 1 week due to seeking material resources. I was worried that I was falling behind my schedule for my deadline for submission. I didn’t feel good about it so it was particularly stressful to me.
However, I realized that I had to stay motivated and productive to get through this hard time. Not only did I put a great deal of time and effort into the assignment but I also utilized every time I had to complete and submit it in due time. In addition, I had to sacrifice a lot such as canceling my other activities I frequently do. For the sake of that, I gained a higher score for my essay than I had expected. Hence, rough as that time is for me to overcome, it was well-worth the effort and time.
