Hyunshik, atau yang biasa dipanggil L.JOE adalah seorang siswa kelas 3 disebuah SMA swasta di Tokyo, Jepang. Pada umur 10th ia pindah ke Jepang untuk tinggal bersama pamannya karna ke-2 orang tuanya telah meninggal dalam sebuah kecelakaan lalu lintas.
Tingginya 178cm dengan berat 58kg. Rambutnya pendek berwarna coklat dan memiliki mata yang berwarna emas. namun itu hanya softlens, matanya yang asli berwarna coklat tua. ia sangat trendy dalam pakaian casual.
Hyunshik adalah "pengidap" alter ego. Ia memiliki banyak "character" untuk menutupi character aslinya. Hyunshik yang sesungguhnya adalah seorang pemalu, tidak percaya diri, pendiam, dan pemarah. Alter ego yang paling menonjol/sering muncul adalah arrogant dan narcissitic. Character-character ini keluar tergantung dengan situasi & lingkungan dimana ia berada, dan dengan siapa ia berbicara.
