Hewan didomestikasikan ketika perkembangbiakan dan kehidupan mereka dikendalikan oleh manusia
Sepanjang waktu berlalu, perilaku hewan berubah dengan signifikat.
Saat ini begitu banyak hewan ternak yang tidak mampu hidup di alam liar. Anjing didomestikasikan di Asia Timur 15000 tahun yang lalu
Kambing dan domba didomestikan di Asia 8000 tahun yang lalu. Babi didomestikasikan 7000 tahun yang lalu di Timur Tengah dan China.
Adapun jenis-jenis ternak diantaranya sapi, kerbau, sapi perah, domba, kambing, kelinci, ayam, itik , ikan ,ulat sutera, katak , lebah madu .
hewan" tersebut dapat diambil manfaat dan hasilnya
Dari Manfaat" tersebut dapat kita nikmati seperti
Daging : Ayam , sapi , bebek , ikan , dll . dapat dijadikan sumber pangan untuk menambah gizi bagi tubuh
Bulu : Ulat sutera dan domba . bulu tersebut dapat dijadikan benang dan dijadikan kain untuk dibuat pakaian
telor : Burung , ayam , dan bebek serta ikan .
telor juga dapat dimanfaatkan sgai bahan pangan yg bermanfaat bgi tubuh
Adapun Kotoran atau tulang" dari binatang tersebut dapat dijadikan sebagai pupuk untuk bercocok tanam
