GAME EXPLANATION
----------------

BIG BROTHER

First, the entire group is silenced except for the owner. The owner will be called Big Brother just like the game/group. She will host the game in a robot-style fashion. The group will also be password locked.

Secondly, at the start of game, the contestants (approx 14 people) will be unsilenced. This means that the only people who can talk will be the contestants known as 'housemates'.

So these housemates, all of whom will have gone through identity checks, will 'live' together in the group. They will be watched by the silenced audience members - whenever each audience member feels like popping in to look!

The housemates are not allowed to be in any other Palringo groups except for those they have power in, and they must have their Spam Filter set to ON. They cannot add or accept any new contacts once the game has started. They are not allowed to contact their fellow housemates in PM or outside of their [Big Brother] home. During the game, housemates cannot talk about the game tactically outside of the home group whatsoever, including Voting on an alternative account or hinting/asking people to Vote, or to campaign for Votes.

Audience members are welcome to test that the housemates are adhering to these rules, and provide screenshot evidence of any rule breaks to the host Big Brother. Rule breaks may result in warnings and repeated rule breaks will result in the disqualification of the housemate from the game.

Audience members are free to campaign for housemate(s) but must not Vote from alternative accounts - it's a max of one vote per person per eviction. (The process is explained later.)

The housemates must also have a clear colour picture of their face set as their AVI at all times, as well as the simple clear name tag provided to them by the host Big Brother before the game.

Random sporadic tasks may be set by the host Big Brother for the housemates which could offer some sort of prize for the winning housemate(s). Tasks are not compulsory for all housemates to take part in unless stated otherwise.

Big Brother will always consider ideas from the audience too, such as 'characters' to send in, or tasks to shake the game up. So feel free to private message the host Big Brother with your suggestions at any time but allow for a timely response.

There will be an Eviction of one housemate from the game every Monday night and Friday night.

The evicted housemate is decided by a Vote which only the silenced audience members (Level 4+) can take part in. It is a Vote To Save.

Send your Vote to the host Big Brother's private message during the Voting Hour of 5-6pm Central USA (11pm-midnight British) on every Monday and Friday.

Simply say the housemates name, for example "Molly" or "Sin".

Or you can say things like "Save Molly" or "I want Molly's babies". The host Big Brother will use her common sense to accept these as valid Votes.

If your vote isn't made during Voting time then it won't count.

Likewise, if you send more than one housemates name for the same Voting time, or you say "I want <housemate> out" (rather than tell me who you want saved), then you are Voting in the wrong way. In this case, your right to Vote will be revoked for that night - unless it is a mistake you correct instantly.

You may not receive any confirmation that your Vote has been accepted, but all Votes from level 4+ audience members that reach the host Big Brother during Voting time will be counted.

The actual removal of the housemate with the least Votes takes place shortly after the Voting closes. Eviction means: the housemate loses his/her place in the game and is silenced into the audience.

The evictee will receive 60 seconds to say goodbye before this happens.

The housemates that can be Voted for each Monday and each Friday are actually decided beforehand, so you can't just Vote to save anyone. These two or more housemates to face the chop are announced in the group by the host Big Brother approx 24 hours before the Vote (so on the Sunday and on the Thursday). They're obviously announced again throughout the Voting hour too.

The process for finding the housemates who will face the audience Vote is called "Nominations". This process takes place in the days up to the announcement.

(Nominations are something only the contestants do. And Voting is something only the audience members do.)

Housemate Nominations:

It is compulsory for every housemate to Nominate two of their fellow housemates, including a valid reason for each of them, on why they want them out of the game.

Housemates may cast their Nominations at any time, and this is done via private message from them to the host Big Brother.

If a housemate wishes to Nominate one person on one day but needs a little more time to decide who their second Nomination goes to, then that is fine. So long as both Nominations are received before the host announces the Sunday/Thursday Nomination results.

So to recap.. two housemate Nominations are required from every housemate at least 24 hours before each and every Monday and Friday Voting Hour.

.. And the three (or more) housemates with the most Nominations will face the audience Vote.

.. From which, the one who receives the least Votes to save them, will be evicted from the game.

When the game draws towards the end, the host Big Brother will announce a Vote To Win. This will be exactly the same as an audience Vote to save, except that all of the housemates (finalists) will be eligible to vote for and Voting will take place over 2 hours.

The housemate with the most Votes wins the game.

(There is no physical prize yet, just the exposure and popularity the game may bring, but if any audience member wishes to donate a prize then please tell the host Big Brother.)

At the end of the game the group members will all be unsilenced again and the old group staff will be reinstated.

There is a separate group which will be dedicated to the audience members who want to chat about the game. It's [2nd Life©].

Whilst the game is in play, any audience member who has an AVI with a picture of the palm of their hand, with writing on it saying "[Big Brother]" is eligible to send in a Question to the housemates. One question will be allowed per day per audience member. Send your question by private message to the host Big Brother - who will send it in at her discretion.

The game will start within 48 hours of the group reaching 271 members.

While the game is in play, new people can get into the group by obtaining the password from the host Big Brother. They must be Level 4+ (to avoid fake Votes) and cannot vote until they have been in the group for more than 24 hours. The host Big Brother can be found on the staff list in [2nd Life©] or by adding her as a contact (user ID: 29931136).

The game is expected to last roughly FIVE WEEKS.
