‘한국 김치’라는 인증 제도가 생기면 외국뿐만 아니라 국내에서도 원산지에 대한 신뢰를 높이는 효과가 있을 전망이다. 최근 국립농산물품질관리원(농관원)은 올 상반기 원산지를 거짓으로 표시하거나 표시하지 않은 업체 1771곳을 적발했다고 밝혔다. 이 가운데 가장 많은 적발 사례가 배추김치 (420건)였다.

무더위가 기승을 부리는 날씨에도 자인면지역사회보장협의체 위원들이 직접 재료를 손질하고 정성과 사랑의 양념을 더 하여 맛있는 열무 물김치와 배추겉절이를 담가 저소득 취약계층 가구를 직접 방문하여 전달하고 안부를 확인하였다.


이영임 위원장은 “위원들이 정성을 다해 맛있게 담근 여름 김치를 드시고 무더위에 지친 입맛이 돌아오고 여름을 건강하게 이겨낼 수 있는 요긴한 반찬이 되길 바란다.”라고 말했다.


최순환 자인면장은 “무더위로 지치고 힘든 날씨에 농번기로 바쁘실 텐데 열 일 제쳐두고 직접 발로 뛰시는 협의체 위원님의 따뜻한 마음에 늘 감사드리며, 손수 담근 시원하고 아삭한 여름 김치 전달로 저소득 취약계층에게 무더위와 외로움을 이기는 큰 힘이 되었으면 좋겠다.”라고 전했다.




어딤채는 숙성시킬수록 담백하면서도 깨끗한 맛을 낸다. 예전엔 안동 종갓집마다 담가왔던 어딤채는 버무린 후에 한 달간 충분히 익혀 섣달그믐 무렵부터 밥상에 올렸다. 최근엔 명맥만 유지되고 있다.
