- Periode rotasi planet ini adalah 16,1 jam, sedangkan periode revolusi adalah 164,8 tahun.
- Komposisi penyusun planet ini adalah besi dan unsur berat lainnya.
- Planet Neptunus memiliki 8 buah satelit, di antaranya Triton, Proteus, Nereid dan Larissa.
- Suhu planet neptunus -218 derajat C.
struktur dalam neptunus terdiri dari :
1. Atmosfer atas
2. Atmosfer yang terdiri dari hidrogen, helium, dan gas metana (bagian yang memberikan Neptunus warna biru)
3. Mantel yang terdiri dari air ionik (yaitu tempat molekul air pecah menjadi sup ion hidrogen dan oksigen) , amonia, dan es metana
4. Inti yang terdiri dari bebatuan (silikat dan nikel-besi) dengan massa 1,2 kali Bumi , tekanan di inti diperkirakan sebesar 7 Mbar (700 GPa), jutaan kali lebih besar daripada tekanan di permukaan bumi. suhu di inti dapat mencapai 5.400 K
