6. Akar Alang-alang digunakan untuk pengobatan:
-Bengkak (Edem) karena
radang ginjal akut infeksi saluran kencing.

muntah darah, batuk darah, urine berdarah.
-Wasir (hemoroid).
-Demam disertai haus,
batuk, flu, sesak.
-Tekanan darah tinggi
(hipertensi)
-Sakit kuning (jaundice)
7. Bunga Alang-alang digunakan untuk mengobati Batuk darah dan
mimisan akibat
penyakit paru.
8. a) obat yang diminum :
Rebus akar alang-alang
kering (15-30 g), bila
menggunakan yang
masih segar maka jumlahnya kira-kira 30-60 g, sedang untuk bunga sekitar 5-10 mg,
dan tunas muda 5-10 g.
Bisa juga akar ditumbuk dan
diperas airnya, atau
yang kering digiling
untuk dijadikan bubuk.
b) Untuk pemakaian luar :
bulir bunga berikut
tangkainya digiling halus dan dibubuhi pada luka

ke hidung untuk
menghentikan
perdarahan.
