Hi, everybody! Here's a list of things to do that can take your mind off stress, hurting yourself, or they may simply be fun things to do when you're bored! 😊
• Drawing. Whether you consider yourself artistic or not, drawing can always help express your emotions. Sometimes, I like to trace my hand and then use a red pen to draw the self-harm wounds. This is a way to visually satisfy that part of your brain that wants to hurt, rather than physically hurting you.
• Dancing. Have a dance party (by yourself or with whomever you like!) to your favorite band(s) and artist(s).
• Singing. I can't sing for the life of me, but belting out a good tune (or bad, it really doesn't matter) when I'm down in the dumps can easily lift my spirits.
• Funny faces. Look in the mirror and make funny faces to yourself, or even have a funny face-off with someone else. Either way, you'll make yourself laugh and that is a great way to relieve tension and stress.
• Watch your favorite TV show. Be sure to check if any part of the program has any material you may find triggering before you watch it, though. If you're not a big fan of TV, maybe try something on YouTube or Vine.
• Talk to a friend or someone you trust. You don't even have to disclose the situation you're in or how you are feeling if you don't feel comfortable. Telling someone how you feel is always a good start, but if you would rather not at the moment, just start a conversation with them about anything. What's even better is vaguely stating that you're not in a very good mood, and if they have or know anything that might make you feel better. This is especially useful if the person knows you well, because then they will most likely know exactly what cheers you up.

Well, there's my list! Recovery is a long bumpy road, full of obstacles that you may think you'll never overcome. But trying these tips and putting your best state of mind in action is always a good start. Before you know it, you'll be on the road to recovery. Love you all sunshines, stay safe. 🌻💖
