Take your laptop, tablet and, sometimes, your phone to the campsite with your kids.

This is something that I've had to learn the hard way. My mom was always there to remind me that I need to be ready for anything. I just shared with her my excitement of going on the first ever camping trip with my kids and her grandkids. But here she was in my kitchen exhaling and puffing out suggestions and advice on any situation that could arise. I'm not worried about my mother's talk. Listening to her lectures causes me to feel uncomfortable. This was a huge mistake, as I've figured out the next day... or two..

We set off in our vehicle, and we planned to take it all up to the campsite. In order to recreate the rural environment my father experienced earlier in his life I decided to go to a remote spot which, as it turned to be later on, was not in service. This meant that our smartphones were not working, and we were pretty much left to ourselves, with no other camper in sight. I'm sorry. I had hoped for an amazing time off at work.. Three days in the wilderness, with nature.. Within 24 hours of our camping adventure, we were returning to the car.


What was the next thing that happened? We were in a solitary state, had no internet, had none of the bars and no money. My laptop was with me and it didn't get into the bag. I had a great backdrop that I could show my children. They only wanted to check emails, texts or school-related issues. I couldn't take this anymore and we packed our bags for the way back. My kids made sounds similar to piglets eating delicious food when they emerged from the wifi-less zone. I do love my kids. However, it was embarrassing, they squealed and groaned when their phones began to beep and announcing incoming text messages and emails.

Since then, I've learned to be more prepared and avoid getting stuck in an area that is internet-free without any roaming. This time, we were on a lengthy boat ride to get to our destination, there I needed my new best buddies with me - two tablets and a laptops stuffed with Hulu offline videos on one tablet, Netflix movies and shows on the other and the laptop is loaded with music videos, music and large movies that I've downloaded for later watching with both Hulu and Netflix apps available thru Windows app store. I've got more than 600 hours of material to watch and full episodes from South Park, Friends, Will & Grace and Friends seasons.

I have lots of videos filled with fun stuff for children. I downloaded a few Youtube music videos, and converted them to mp3 format. I came across this website application which allows me to download videos directly to my laptop. https://keepvid.wtf This means I can play the videos offline at any time I want, so long as I have electricity. I DVR many movies, TV Shows, and online lectures or lectures. Therefore, I save them in mp4 format on my laptop. Then, I am able to play them with VLC/KMP , or other software that supports video files.

4k is another thing I insist on. Have you ever watched? The video is clear and incredible. I would highly recommend. more info Televisions that are capable of 4k video have wonderful software that enhances the quality and upscales the quality of the video. Older videos look so much better on the TV. Even though it's not great, it is transformed into a smooth, contemporary video stream. Highly recommended to anyone, both girls and boys.
