coming of age story

family goal: destroy lab, keep family safe
lab goal: if they came from France, use Britain as a safe haven, why they bomb Britain? take over Britain then take over France? hmmmm could be a joint meet up or something, one party takes over Britain other takes over France????
basically take control of Britain, attack three major cities, London, Cambridge,

1- Danny gets kidnapped and witnesses some traumatizing things considering he is now seen as nothing more than a test subject. He learns to get over his cowardice and help others in the lab. When his father is killed his innocence is lost, and he has somewhat of a short downfall.
start- value is that he wants to learn more about world, curious about all that stuff
end- he values helping others after he sees horror of labs, and he doesn't want anyone to experience it either
2- Danny deals with aftermath of former story, he shows signs of guilt and self blame for getting kidnapped and believes he is the reason his father was killed. Hurts him even more when he recognizes how upset his mother is.

what is the main plot here?
first draft of the plot:
1- son of family gets kidnapped, family goes to rescue him, son meets young girl who is a misled and tortured cyborg who can control other robots, father of the family basically sacrifices himself for his family to escape, young girl gets adopted
2- laboratory wants the girl back and threatens family to do so, family joins an anti-lab organization founded by one of the former scientists of said lab, young cyborg girl learns more about human society, family discovers more about laboratory's motivation and the backstory of the father, spy for laboratory burns down family's house, girl gives herself up in desperation but is then saved (either by trickery or the police simply arrive), anti-lab organization switches places and family moves to Cambridge to stay safer either that or they begin spreading the word maybe more recruits come in to join them.
3- family living peacefully for most part in Cambridge 4 years later, one day the city is attacked by a supposed robot group which is actually peeps from laboratory to capture and take weapon and resources from department, son of family is spared by one of robots leading him to become suspicious and family tries to investigate what's going on, cyborg girl gets taken, rest of family led to place and basically raid lab, some of the experiments turn on labratory and kill leader of said area. Family gets two new allies with more of sisters of cyborg girl.
4- tensions rise, experiments are in public blending in where they meet a laboratory spy and rejoin forces with laboratory. Leader of anti-lab organization is killed, mother of family is presumed leader in line, cyborg gurl and her amigos both encounter and fight the lab experiments, basically lab gets destroyed by combination of anti-lab organization + experiments, but lab also successfully destroys London or something and also kills a member of the family.
